AICELL TRACE: PROCESS MONITORING & METROLOGICALLY TRACEABLE INLINE MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY IN ONE CELL

  • Correlation-free and metrologically traceable
  • Robot-agnostic system accuracy
  • High-precision evaluation of complex features in fractions of a second.
  • Compensation of temperature fluctuations in the production environment
  • Reliable measurement results from the very first part
  • Measurement of individual parts through to complete car bodies directly in the line

With the AICell trace, we have developed measurement technology that did not exist before. We bring metrological measurement technology directly into the production line. The system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 10360-8, thereby combining the precision and traceability of traditional measuring machines with the requirements of automated mass production.

Traceability is more than just a technical detail for specialists. It ensures that measurement results can be traced seamlessly back to the definition of the meter. In this way, AICell trace establishes the metrological foundation for reliable feature measurements directly within the production process - and delivers on the promise embodied in “Metrology goes inline.”

This is made possible by the interaction of three components: The AIMax cloud II point cloud sensor, a camera-based tracking system for precisely determining the sensor’s position on the component and our proprietary INDI software. Together, they enable high-precision, automated measurement directly on the production line. The certified acceptance test confirms the metrological performance of the entire system.

The AICell trace measures everything from individual sheet metal parts to complete car bodies. It can be used flexibly, employs measurement principles familiar from traditional metrology labs, and delivers reliable measurement results in the shortest possible time - starting with the very first component.

AICell trace is not just another product in our portfolio. It is proof that “Metrology goes inline” is more than just a promise.
