Hands-On Inline Excellence

Two days filled with technology, exciting insights, and personal encounters: On September 20 and 21, NEWSTON opened its doors to the public for the first time as part of the Neuenstein Gewerbeschau. Under the motto “Hands-On Inline Excellence,” visitors were able to experience what goes on behind the scenes of our automated measurement and inspection systems.

For many visitors, it was their first opportunity to get to know NEWSTON better. Although our technologies are used in industrial production lines worldwide, the work behind them usually remains invisible to outsiders. We wanted to change that and show how modern inline measurement technology works and how it contributes to quality assurance in production.

Experiencing High Tech in Action

The focus was on our technologies, which visitors could not only view up close but also try out for themselves.

The interactive “Guess the Number Game vs. the Sensor” required a keen eye: How many surface defects can be detected on a prepared component? Visitors could first search for defects themselves before our new ABIS III sensor automatically inspected the component. It was a vivid comparison that demonstrated just how precise modern surface inspection is.

Our AICell MMC (Mobile Measurement Cell) also showed a different side of itself. The mobile measurement cell was specially converted for the trade show to host the skill game “Hot Wire—Don’t Touch the Wire.” Anyone who successfully completed the challenge received a small surprise.

Technology Brings People Together

In addition to the interactive stations, the focus was above all on personal interaction. The trade show gave us the opportunity to talk with people from the region, answer questions, and provide insight into our daily work.

For us, it was a special experience to present our technologies outside our usual industrial setting and to showcase the innovations being developed right here in Neuenstein.

A Successful First Appearance

With our first participation in the trade show, we not only opened our doors but also raised NEWSTON’s profile as a company and employer in the region.
